Western Lehigh United Fire
Hello and welcome to the Western Lehigh United Soccer Club Boys Fire Soccer Team page. Here at WLUSC Fire, we emphasize building self-confidence, good sportsmanship, foot skills, team building, and expect 100% effort given by players at all times. This team's goals will be to create and build a team to compete at the highest level of play, all while making sure the players have fun doing it. We also strive to build relationships among team players and their parents that will last a lifetime.
Progress to Date (11/22/17)
We just completed our first fall season in EDP's 2006 Premier East 1, division. We had great success and came out with a 2nd place finish in our division. With these results, it shows that we are very competitive with these other teams that we have a great bunch of boys that work well together.
This Fire team was started in 2016 and since it's inception, the teams overall record is 52-9-17. (Wins/Ties/Losses). Compared to some of the programs we have played against, this is a great accomplishment.
Please visit our Facebook page to keep up to date with current events, team stats, and future tournaments with team.

About the Team
The Western Lehigh United Fire was a newly formed U11 boy’s travel soccer team for the 2016-17 soccer season. It's program will run as an all-year program which will include team practices, league games, tournaments, and personal training. Practices are three nights a week and will include outside team trainers at the coaches discretion. Our practice locations primarily are at the Lehigh County Fields but could vary around the Allentown area depending on field availability. The team will continue to play in the EDP league and games are normally played in Southern PA and New Jersey. For winter/indoor, we will train two nights per week and we will play in the Iron Lakes indoor soccer league. The spring time, we will normally will play league play again or travel to area tournaments to play new teams and progress our compilation level. With all of this above, we keep in mind that some costs are tight for some. So we strive to offer a quality program while keeping the costs as low as possible. To do this we do offer many fundraisers for parents to participate in to offset these.
As part of the Fire family, we are asking the players to make a one-year commitment to the team, other players, and the coaching staff. The same is also asked of parents. One of the overall goals for the team is to build a family atmosphere among the players and parents. We also strive to build relationships among team players and their parents that will last a lifetime. This includes non-soccer team events, player birthday parties, picnics, Christmas party, etc., and good cause fundraisers that help support the community. We welcome multiple sport players.
Head Coach Bio
The head coach for the 2017-18 Western Lehigh United Fire is Matt Krapf. This season marks his 8th year in coaching youth soccer and second for Western Lehigh United. Coach Matt holds a US Soccer "D" coaching license, and NSCAA Level 1, 2, & 3 goalkeeper coaching licenses. While playing soccer at a young age, he had a great opportunity to play soccer at the highest level of his age group. He was a goalkeeper, which included many hours of one-on-one training all the way into his high school career. Through hard work and dedication to the sport, soccer created life lessons and values that are still in use today. Along with his soccer background, Coach Matt is an Assistant Chief for Weisenberg Fire Department.
