Western Lehigh United Soccer Club
Club families and members,
Sunday night marked a new chapter in the club's long and distinguished history. The groundwork laid by prior boards and volunteers have positioned WLUSC on the edge of being at the very center of soccer in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. We, the board of directors and directors of coaching, take this responsibility and opportunity seriously.
To that end, we needed to make changes that would allow us to make decisions quickly and with the intentions of benefiting of the club.
Last night, the attending board members, directors of soccer, and qualified members voted among other things, allowing the board to operate and make decisions without the voting of all qualified members. Our qualified members have placed their trust and willingness with the board of directors to progress the club forward.

Details on the clubs future
Our sustainable growth and continued commitment to the community is directly connected to the long-term health and viability of the club. WLUSC is committed to developing our players from a young age and, most importantly, offering them a path throughout their playing career at every level. To continue to achieve this, we are proud to offer the following additions to our programming:
- Adding Mommy / Daddy and Me program U3 - U5, boys and girls starting this Spring 2018
- Adding a Futures Academy program U6-U8, for boys and girls with tryouts starting this Spring 2018
- Adding a RECREATIONAL program U9 - U18/19, for boys and girls, with tryouts starting this Spring 2018
- Adding a new Premier Level Affiliation program U9 - U18/19, for boys and girls, with IDs starting this Spring 2018
Perhaps the most exciting news for the club is our new affiliation with Penn Fusion. The affiliation objectives are to build over time a highly competitive team at every age level, for both boys and girls. While not every player will be selected for the program, it will draw in players of all abilities. Feeding WLUSC recreational and travel programs and truly giving players a road map and opportunity for growth, this affiliation is truly a win-win for our club.
Special thanks to Dave Weitzman (WLUSC) and Mark Thomas (PFSA), for their efforts for the club, its players, and the years worth of time dedicated to our new affiliation with Penn Fusion. We expect to advance our club to a whole new level.
There are big ideas ahead for this club that should benefit us all. Please know that we are not leaving anyone behind, especially the members that love and support the club. We are anticipating that a new level of communication will open up between the administration, coaches, members, and players. While many members may be fearful that their vote has been lost, I want to ensure that your voice is even louder!
We are your Board of Directors, we have ideas and goals for the club, but we are not leaving anyone behind. Provide us your feedback on the good, the bad, and also what needs to be addressed.
Given the magnitude of the vote, many of you may have questions and thoughts you want to share. Please use the contact information below to reach out to the appropriate member.
